Troy Beane

President and CEO

Troy Beane is a serial entrepreneur whose journey began with a side business in high school. That first venture failed—but it sparked a lifelong drive to lead, learn, and serve.

In 1998, seeking structure and purpose, Troy joined the U.S. Air Force in the 111th Civil Engineer Squadron. His early career took him around the world, leading project deployments in Germany, Hawaii, and Saudi Arabia, where he helped build and sustain mission-critical infrastructure. Later, he transitioned to the U.S. Army Infantry, embracing the grit and teamwork that define America’s combat arms.

After 21 years of service in the Air Force, Army, and Pennsylvania National Guard, Troy retired as a Major. His time in uniform taught him the value of shared hardship, responsibility, and strategic execution—principles that continue to guide his leadership today.

Transitioning to the private sector, Troy built a reputation leading large-scale project and program management initiatives for Fortune 500 utility companies, driving measurable results through process improvement and disciplined execution.

In 2022, he founded Veteran Executive Leadership (VXL) to help veterans build generational wealth through entrepreneurship, leadership development, and skilled-trade career pathways.

Under Troy’s leadership, Schaefer Mechanical Services has achieved sustained growth and operational excellence, blending craftsmanship with purpose. His mission is simple: help veterans find their path to success in the trades while building companies that stand the test of time.
